How To Get Published on AccuTeach
Are you interested in writing for us? If you are interested in writing for AccuTeach, you are at the right place.
What is AccuTeach All About?
As the name suggests, AccuTeach basically means to teach accurately. When we say to teach accurately we are simply saying that there are best practices and there are less effective ways to do everything that impacts our lives and the lives of others.
How Can I Contribute to the AccuTeach Philosophy?
There are two main ways to contribute to the AccuTeach Vision: Shelf and Share.
Shelf
You can share what you are reading, what you have read, what you would like to read, and even the books that you own by cataloging your books on our virtual shelf, right inside of AccuTeach.com. As teachers, parents, couples and individuals, we know that a book is a very powerful way to teach a lesson, learn a lesson and share your vision and insights while at the same time look into the minds of others. Go ahead and start cataloging your books to your very own virtual bookshelf.
Share
You can share by writing engaging articles that target a family friendly audience. We are always looking for quality content to add to our website. We are looking for a wide range of articles, tutorials, showcases and opinions to share with our audience.
Examples of Articles We are Looking to Publish on AccuTeach
Tutorials/Tips:
We love tutorials. We are teachers, and we just can’t help but like them.
Here are the guidelines as far as tutorials are concerned:
- Your tip lengths must be clear and concise. Don’t say it in 100 words when you can say it in 10 words.
- Include a video embed link, or a link to a video if possible or necessary.
- Include relevant pictures to highlight or guide your steps.
- Include all relevant links: citations, downloads, etc.
- A link to a book that is on your AccuTeach shelf, if a book is being referenced in your post.
Opinion:
If you have an opinion about current affairs, go ahead, we would love to possibly publish your article. Here are some of the things that we are looking for with opinion articles:
- Your opinion must be backed by relevant data and facts.
- Your opinion must be between 500-1, 000 words in length.
- Include a video embed link, or a link to a video if possible or necessary.
- Include all relevant links: citations, downloads, etc.
- A link to a book that is on your AccuTeach shelf, if a book is being referenced in your lesson, or if your opinion can be further explored using that book or list of books.
Lesson Plans and Lesson Activities:
If you are a teacher or an individual who has an idea for a great lesson using a book from your virtual shelf, share that awesome lesson and make a the world a better place…one teacher or student at a time. The format that we expect for a lesson is very simple:
- Your lesson must have an objective.
- Include the materials that will be needed. We love lessons that include nothing beyond common household items or the book itself.
- A link to a book that is on your AccuTeach shelf, if a book is being referenced in your lesson.
- Give an approximate time for your lesson
- A bibliography if necessary and links to additional resources.
Showcases
Pictures are very impactful, and there is no more powerful way to appeal to readers than through their eyes. I have written an article that shows how popular infographics have become over the year. We love infographics and lists here at AccuTeach, so why not share your best lists? How about your list of must read books for parents? How about a list of books for students and teachers?
- All images sent to us must be in high resolution.
- Cite all images with a link back to the page where the image was taken from.
- If your showcase features apps, plug-ins, themes, websites or anything that is downloadable, make sure to add a link back to that resource.
Extra Credit Suggestions
- linking back to previously published AccuTeach.com articles.
- A link to a book that is on your AccuTeach shelf if a book is being referenced in your lesson, article or Showcase.
- Images should be no smaller than 500px wide when applicable.
- Submissions should be Microsoft Word and properly formatted with adequate headings and sections.
What We Will Not Consider
- We will not republish newsletters, press releases and baseless self promotions. If you are writing about your own product make sure to indicate why your product is comparable to, or better than the competition. You can also contact us to review your product.
The Not So Fine Print
Finally, your articles must be unique, and you will need to create an account on AccuTeach with a clear headshot to have your articles published.
That’s All Folks…Let’s See What You’ve Got!
