On the third day of school I like to start getting into some lesson teaching. This is the day when I start some reading, writing, and math workshop lessons. My reading and writing lessons come from the Gwinnett County Online Campus (LOCC). My beginning of the year math lessons for starting math workshop come from Establishing Routines & Procedures During the 1st 20 Days of Math by Austin ISD (I use this as a guide).

Remember to make sure to continue reinforcing rules throughout the day. Stop activities whenever necessary to reconvene on the floor to review classroom rules and appropriate behaviors. Have students model appropriate behaviors if necessary.
