Google has just made an important announcement. The Google Chrome browser is being configured to automatically pause ‘nonessential’ content that uses Adobe Flash. As more and more classrooms, businesses and homes are using mobile technology, a longer lasting battery life is becoming increasingly important. You can configure your browser today to detect non-essential Flash based content (such as adverts) that are sometimes delivered using Flash by following the steps below. Even if your computer is wired to an outlet, you may still see an improvement in your computer’s performance if you follow this recommendation. Also, if you want to exclude specific websites from this feature, you can do so by selecting “Manage exceptions” and add your favorite websites.
Step 1
Select the Chrome Browser Icon and click on settings
Step 2
Click on Content Settings
Step 3
Under the plugins Section, click on the “Detect and run important plugin content.” Click on done and return to your browsing.
