A new book by Ph.D. Jennifer J Thomas and Jenni Schaefer, “Almost Anorexic: Is My (or My Loved One’s) Relationship with Food a Problem? (The Almost Effect)” examines anorexia and people who are “almost anorexic”. According to the Great Falls Tribune Schafer said, ” Only one in 200 people will have it in their lifetime. But many more people are going to have almost anorexia.” and the article continued, “Thomas and Schaefer’s book claims that as many as one in 20 people have the signs of almost anorexia, including frequent food restriction and weight changes, negative body image, mild or infrequent binge eating and mild or infrequent compensatory behavior”.
