If you want to cook the perfect rice every time, try this. I got this tip from Rachael Ray and it truly does work!
Add as much rice as you’d like to the pot. Wash the rice. Put your pointer and middle fingers in the pot touching the top of the rice with the tip of your longest finger (probably the middle finger).
Add enough cold water to the pot of rice until the water level reaches the first crease of your pointer finger.
Add any seasonings you would like and about 1-2 tbsp of olive oil to the pot, depending on how much rice you are making. Also feel free to add coconut milk and kidney beans to the mix. Boil for 1 minute.and bring to a rapid boil. Then stir one time. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer for about 10 minutes, or until rice is tender and water is gone.
Fluff with a fork and enjoy your perfect rice every time you are ready to cook some scrumptious rice !
