Objective: These place value charts can serve as initial guides. These guides will allow students to demonstrate the effect of either multiplying or dividing by powers of ten. Eventually, as the students become more comfortable, they should be able to sketch these charts on their own to model the multiplication and the division of numbers by the powers of ten, writing numbers in expanded form, etc.
