In an earlier post, I outlined a list of tools that can be used to create and administer quizzes and surveys online. Today, I will be sharing with you how to automatically grade quizzes in Google Docs and save yourself a lot of time using Flubaroo.
I created this little quiz below and I am going to show you how to grade it using Flubaroo.
Below is a survey I created in the form of a multiple quiz.
Flibbo is a Google app that analyzes your spreadsheet and grades it for you with just the click of a button. It is very simple to do, let’s get cracking.
Step 1: Create Your Quiz as a Survey With Multiple Choice Questions
Create your quiz in Google drive using the forms module.

Share your quiz and watch the results come in to your spreadsheet in your Google Drive folder.
Step 3: Install Flubaroo
From the Google Drive spreadsheet click on” insert”. Then, from the dropdown menu select script. In the search form, enter the word “Flubaroo” and hit search. From the search results you will see “Flubaroo, and you need to click on install . Flubaroo should now be showing up on your navigation menu at the top of your browser.
Step 4: Take the Quiz Yourself
Make sure that you are the first to take the test so that you can make the answer sheet. After you have received all of the responses, or whenever you choose, you may go ahead and run the Flubaroo plugin.
Step 5: Run Flubaroo
Click on the Flubaroo link on your navigation menu and select “grade quiz”. Follow the directions on screen You will be asked to assign a numerical value to each question to be graded.
Step 6: Bingo
Your results will be displayed in a spreadsheet. The displayed spreadsheet will also provide some very useful analytics of the quiz response data.
Conclusion
